Contrary to popular "opinions", I'd also recommend Valkyria Chronicles and the whole FF13 trilogy, unless you get 'em for PC (for 1080p+smoother fps).

Also check the PS classics on PSN. Silent Hill 1, Parasite Eve and classic FFs are always worth it.

I've had the same 60gb Fat since 2007, and it's still running fine. I've done a couple moves and dragged it with me for travels, and still got no problems. I did open it up earlier this year, and it didn't even have that much dust in it.

It's a straight up improvement over 1 and you will get all character connections by the end of the game

Also, think about Disgaea and Zone of the Enders HD
In case you haven't played SotC or Ico get their HD collection aswell

The ZoE HD on PS3 is brilliant 1080p + 60fps + improved textures nowadays. So yeah, far better than emulation.
