Did you even play the game? Quiet remained quiet not just because talking in English would release the parasites. She still kind of wanted revenge and so wanted to keep her trump card away. If she cooperated and communicated, she would end up having to say the truth about the parasites she's carrying.
What I never understood was, didn't Codetalker explicitly say that you CAN physically cut the parasites out if they're not COPULATING? Why didn't Quiet just get the parasites surgically removed? The problem is what people think the limit of "a few words here and there" means. The cutscenes went out of their way to show Quiet talking more than just a few sentences, she ended up giving specific instructions for quite a while, that was to prove a point that her talking was more than just a "few words here and there".
Now the problem is why she didn't try any other methods before, since it is obvious she didn't want Venom to know that she was carrying the English parasite inside her and that she still wanted revenge against BB for fuck her up so badly. What would be interesting to know is that if Quiet knew or didn't knew if Venom wasn't BB. That would explain a lot of Quiet's motivations and interactions during the game with the player.
Reminder that her whole character arc and motivation is fueled by lust for Big Boss / Venom's dick and that she has zero story relevance, hence why you can skip her altogether. She only exists as Kojima's shitty waifu and a feelbait character with her contrived ending.
