my guess is that they'll make it similar to Revelations series because they're under the impression that those are 'what the fans want'

while it can be said that they're the closest thing to classic RE since... uh RE4? - they're still a shadow from what the series used to be

they'll probably make it too action-focused, with little to no exploration, little to no backtracking, streamlined and boring item and health management, weapons will feel all the same - lacking punch, you're always accompanied by partners, Leon and Claire campaigns being merged into one storyline divided into endless gameplay-interrupting chapters, etc. etc.

Without a goddamn doubt, this will be the biggest disappointment since the new gen consoles got announced

REmake was made 13 years ago when the old style horror genre still wasn't QUITE dead (Code Veronica wasn't that old yet). Just because it was ported again last year doesn't mean they still understand what makes these games good to fans.
