Basically everything from Nintendo since about E3 or so has seemed rushed. They're all small, lacking in content, and make heavy use of recycled assets.
I'm guessing that they've shuffled most development off to the NX and left Wii U and 3DS with a skeleton crew to pump out a handful of small titles to ride out the time between now and the new console launch. It's pretty startling that they're biggest upcoming titles are all things that have been in development since at least 2014 and were supposed to have already launched by now, or actually have already launched in other regions.

Not a serious drop lately, a gradual decline over the past ages.
It feels like Nintendo is just pushing out any old garbage these days. Shit like Amiibo Festival and Ultra Smash is just pitiful.
I don't know what happened to them. Are they just reeling from the costs of modern development, cutting depth/content to try and save money? Are they still stuck in Wii-era thinking, trying to pander to a market that no longer exists? Or is it just clueless old shareholders trying to chase after easy money by following fads like mobile, DLC and generally being cheapskates? Or are they just genuinely incompetent now, trying their best but unable to deliver?
Sure they still put out some good games, but how many? Two or three a year? They can't keep going like this, especially when their console is floundering and has no third party support. If the NX turns out to be more gimmick shit like the rumours say, Nintendo are basically dead as a home console company.

It's disappointing because I actually did like the spin-off games they made before. The current ones are being rushed and pretty much left incomplete or overly shallow. Mario Kart is still okay, but it has unfortunately become the exception in this case since its only problem is the roster.
