This game is pretty fucking bad and I'm usually a very optimistic person and game this game a hell of a lot of breathing space but it still manages to disappoint me.
The open world is completely fucking static, the came suffers from continuous pop-ins, it blatantly tries to compensate by using excessive lod and draw distance. Its textures, character models and color palette is literal garbage PS2 tier. The environment is also completely un-intractable and the game requires a day one 20 gig optimization patch that takes 3 hours to install just to run semi-smoothly.
The fact is the consensus from the hundreds of 10 year old japanese boys who played the game were right, its simply a mediocre game, everything from story development, level pacing, character interactions is borderline garbage tier. The dialogue is only tolerable if you're the type of person who can watch Elmos world on repeat for 10 hours. Accompanied by terrible implementation of the sound track, which is basically Linkin Park: The Japanese version, Treehouse's extensive babbyfication of the game and the literal offline MMO tier combat, fetch quests x infinity, bloated pseudo-itemization, I mean it's completely overrated game in the west and supported by young, ignorant blind fanboyism.
The game strives somewhat forward in terms of world/architectual design and verticality exploration but that's really about it, it's eye candy to some degree while simultaneously being one of the ugliest games I've ever seen. The MMO mechanic/dialouge/story and VA will make or break the game for you.

Probably the best open world I've even seen in a game and I mean that. I can't think of another open world game with landscapes as fun get lost in.
Especially this year, with the likes of Witcher 3 and MGSV. Velen and Africa are samey boring and flat as fuck which makes them boring to explore. Mira is varied full of unique locations with colorful scenery which makes exploration very enjoyable.
Once you get a mech though the game noticeably shrinks and feels a deal smaller. Still I can't think of a game that can match it.
