Stuck on third bonefire in the forest of the giants. I just cant handle these metal turtle giants when they are pairing up to kick my ass.
>no effigies
>50%hp
>no gems
>18 lvl
What should I do?
inb4: get skill, dodge more
also how do i pull them one by one when whenever one sees me the other comes from the fuck i know where
get
fucking
goodalso use blunt weapons, they destroy every enemy in the game
git gud
just got DaS2 today, too.
I got through that part pretty easy with the mace, I don't know why you're having problems.
I'm on Pursuer now.
>>321367937
I got it yesterday, I died about 42343 times on before getting to the last giant. Im using firesword and shield.
Get a blunt weapon. They destroy armored enemies.
>>321367860
I guess but with the dying punishment, no gems, no effigies how do I do it?
>>321368263
I suggest not trying to tank it, and timing your rolls.
Just find that perfect frame in which to roll, and the game is fairly easy.
Ill try with a blunt weapon if I have one.
>>321368360
Then it's a good time you started to learn dodging. Tanking doesn't work in every situation anyway, but evading does. Two hand a club or a mace and get rollin'.
>>321368621
I guess its more like a monster hunter type of a game then regular hack and slash
>>321367564
You're not supposed to be there yet. Go to Heide's.
>>321368884
where is that
>>321368791
Exactly
Hit enemy, don't get hit.
And armor isn't worth shit if you can't roll.
>>321368884
I think its higher lvl area then I am at now
>>321368932
By third bonfire, I'm assuming you've already beaten the last giant and used the key to open the door down the dark hallway and emerged upon the area with five turtle Knights, right? If so, either go beat pursuer, or go back to Majula and take the other route.
>>321367564git gud
>>321368932
It's that big ass entryway in majula next to Shalquoir's (the cat who says you smell) house, but be careful of those big ass knights.
>>321369093
the forest was the first thing i started doing after exploring majula, should I go to heides?
>>321368884
I'm not sure if you're being serious or not, but at low levels you'll get your ass destroyed by those fake Solaires
>>321369335
Just summon for Pursuer so your summon can kill you with a ballistae.
>>321369503
by who?
>>321369503
You mean those non-hostile Solaires?
>>321369901
There are some hostile ones later on, try fighting some of those that are passive to get a taste
>>321369335
Have you beaten the last giant? He's the giant cyclops that's been skewered by rocks and he pulls his arm off as a weapon halfway through the fight.
Looks like there's a lot of new people playing DaS2 now because of the steam sale.
Time to hop back onto my twink for some fun.
I just rolled into the water twice in a row at heides
>>321370523
you can sidestep most of the shield giants' attacks without rolling.
What is the drakesword in DaS2?
How can anyone duck at Dark Souls?
You literally only need to smash the same button for the whole game.
You could beat the game with both eyes closed.
for the turtles just run up to them, back up when they swing, then attack
>>321369503
>>321369901
>Fake Solaires
Are these enemies in SotFS? I don't recall seeing anything at heides other than giants
>>321370690
heide knight sword but it scales better and isnt as super scrubby dubby
>>321370781
It's not as hard as people say but you can't go in full retard and beat the game blindfolded. It's challanging at some parts but when you've got down the basic movement and combat it's not that hard anymore.
>>321370878
Yea, the ones in Heide's are SotFS exclusive
Isn't the third bonfire Soldier's Rest? The one with all the turtlefags that's almost entirely pointless until later aside from finding the map guy? 'Cause if it is, just leave and come back later when you're stronger.
Aside from that, blunt weapons are kind of overpowered in DaS2 because of the number of armoured enemies, so getting one of those would help. And the best way to deal with the turtle guys generally is to wait until they do that really heavily telegraphed overhead smash attack, roll just as they do it, and then fuck them up.
>>321371190
so where should I go during my "come back later"
>>321371401
After the Pursuer, you take the bird to the Lost Bastille
>>321371401
If you haven't fought the Last Giant and Pursuer, go find them and do that. They're both in the forest, closer to the second bonfire.
After that you can either take the bird from behind the Pursuer's boss arena over to Lost Bastille, or you can go back to Majula and head through that building in the opposite direction of the forest to reach Heide's Tower of Flame.
>>321367564
-Level your ADP till your agility is over 100, that will give you enough I-frames for the roll to be dependable.
-Use blunt weapons, they are the best choice in the game
-If out of effigies, try placing your summon sign, preferably the small one as it has a bigger reach when it comes to soul memory tiers.
-Farm lifegems, or buy a ton from the old hag near the bonfire
>>321371904
>>321371794
I will find the pursuer then.
>>321372230
Vanilla or sotfs?
>>321372324
vanilla coz my cpu is jokes
>>321372230
i like ur attitude dude
keep it up
>>321372519
I just looked up the pursuer and turns out I was there and decided to "come back later"
>>321372517
A shame, if it was sotfs, i could lend you a hand. Still, dont give up anon! You can parry all the sword slashes the pursuer throws at you, it renders him a joke, if you dont mind dying one or two times learning the timing.
>>321367564
"Try somewhere else"
>>321372647
fuck em up dude
