All i wanted was Corrinin Smash and it happened! The odds were against him i felt like i was the only one who voted for him but he is in!
All I want is a new Advance Wars game but instead it had to die while your shit series keeps going.
This is bait, but I unironically voted for Corin. Ten times cooler and hotter than Robin, much more deserving of the spot than Lucina and Roy. It was very unfortunate Fates came out after Smash.

I love Fire Emblem and I imported a Japanese 3DS just so I could play Fates early.
Corrin is just a boring Robin clone and we don't need 6 Fire Emblem reps, there are several characters far more deserving than him that should get in first.
Also "Corrin" is a boring, dumbass name, they should've just kept Kamui.

I'm glad we finally got our fourth FE character. Lucina's basically a slightly altered costume and Roy shouldn't be in the game. He looks fun as fuck too, first FE character since Marth that I've actually wanted to play, and since Smash 4 Marth is basically the worst Marth we've had, I've got a new FE character now.

I was actually really pleased with Kamui's (corrin) addition to smash. I am a relatively big Fire Emblem fan so it's really nice to see the series get some form of recognition. Hoping this boost in popularity will allow another home console FE game to be made.

They have the right idea with FE Fates. It panders to both the old and new fans with two versions of the game. That would be good for Advance Wars I think but they would first have to make AW Awakening.

Does Metroid really need anyone other than Samus? Considering how Metroid is, I think just Samus represents it pretty well. I'd prefer it if they just made Samus good for once. FE at least has a ton of games and protagonists they can draw from, different generations of FE fans would like different characters.

I'm not a Metrod fan but my friend is and he doesn't really want anyone else in smash from Metroid. He is pretty content with Samus alone.

Well in terms of sales it's one of the lower ones in Nintendo's franchises which is why it was going to get cancelled. Donkey Kong, Metroid and Star Fox all sell better than Fire Emblem.

Honestly I think the roster as it is is great. They've got the most important characters for all their major series and at least one for other major parts of their history or series that did decently well for them at some point that fans would remember. Any other additions would just be extra fanservice for hardcore fans of those series, a single character for a new IP that came too late like Splatoon, or another retro character. I mean I wouldn't mind Lip since Puzzle League has had several games and there's not much puzzle game representation other than Dr. Mario or Chibi Robo since his series still gets games occasionally but I don't think it's really necessary.
