Well, I can't do it anymore.
I can't only game on my 2.1 ghz laptop anymore and I have beaten all of my Xbox 360 games.
I am buying a ps4 tomorrow and a copy of Fallout 4 and Bloodborne.
The dream of a good gaming PC is too expensive.
I don't have the patience to wait another 4-6 months.
Anyone else get too itchy for new games to wait?

I don't know what deals are around for PS4s right now (the consoles. Not the games) but if you want to build a PC now is the best time to do it. Every parts site and their mothers have things on sale. If you're too desperate to care I can't blame you. Indie 2D shit games are usually cancer.

Lately, I've just been playing the new Bloodborne DLC and the SF5 Beta. Bloodborne + the DLC alone should suck up so much time that you won't want to touch Fallout.

That would be fine if the content was interesting. Instead there's a serious lack of sidequests, especially ones that are more than "Go here and fetch this item/kill this person", and basically every location boils down to another raider or super mutant shooting gallery.
Don't get me wrong, there's some really great environments and locations, but they're wasted when it comes to actual content.

Just stopping by to say I've sold my ps4 after finishing Bloodborne and upgraded my pc from the money.
OP, a PS4 is really fun, but you will realise very soon that most games just aren't optimized and run like ass. This is not me shilling PC, as most of the AAA games released this year are shit also, but just wanted to warn you the console is only fun for a while, until you realise it's pretty shit.

Bloodbone is killer, but avoid fallout. I'd personally recommend Witcher 3, even if you have no prior series experience.

Wii U is fun also, I own it but really only play it when I have friends over. Still got a couple of great games, but it's lacking in overal online features and hardware.

100% case-by-case. There are plently of 60fps games, plenty of stable 30fps games, and plenty of 12-24fps games. There is no one direction the PS4 follows, it all depends on the games you get. If you go for western AAA games like AssCreed/Fallout then yes they run like shit. If you go for nip games then they mostly run very well considering most are ports from vita/PS3 or just easy to run, or have a good engine like MGS5. If you go for shooters they are almost all 60fps online, CoD, Battlefields, Battlefront, KZ.

I own a gaming pc and a ps4 and you're doing the right choice since you're obviously on a tight budget. I love my pc but the 2016 is the year of the ps4 without a doubt, plus it won't miss on anything major aside from xboner trash, whereas pc will only play multiplats. If you can only own a single machine, then the ps4 is the way to go without a doubt.

Also pc is a glorified multiplat machine, whereas the ps4 can play those as well as have exclusives of its own. It's a much better choice if you can only buy one. Plus you can swap your account with a friend and have access to all his games while he has access to yours as well so you can two can play everything you own at the same time, which translates into every single cost halved. Launch game? 30 dollars at best. Good luck doing that on PC.
