I spent 50 hours playing it.
45 hours in singleplayer because it was legit good
5 hours due to dead community and crappy friends. but it is a top-notch racing game, more skill-based than mario kart. lag could fuck up collision physics online though

10/10 it's okay.
It's fun until the harder difficulties until it becomes just un-fun bullshit. Not only do you have to race absolutely perfect you have to get lucky.

I remember I had to get lucky in F-Zero GX Chapter 7 on very hard. got buttrammed to the finish line at the end
that was over 10 years ago. I dont recall ever needing luck in Sonic Racing Transformed, but definitely struggled on the billy hatcher stage on one of the challenges.

Yeah, its a pretty fun Mario Kart clone. Does a few things better than the Kart games as well, and easily the best kart racer on the PC. There are a few downsides to it, like not being able to lock in a character. Meaning every race you have to reselect, which can be annoying, but other than that its not bad.
It's good, really really good even
but online lag tends to show itself pretty badly with karts wiggling around super fast. You can get lag smashed by other cars, it's can be really bad if you play with people who have bad connections.
also the blue shell equivalent is way too easy to avoid. If somebody pulls ahead of the pack it's pretty easy for them to hold that spot for the rest of the race while everybody behind them slows each other down with items. Luckly the items aren't as bad as in mario kart(none of them bring you to a full on dead stop) so it's usually not a big problem.
also the roster is fuckin bananas

it's alright but the controls are super stiff (compared to mario kart) and the speed is way higher. the items are also boring and shitty
i had fun with it but don't go into it expecting mario kart with a sonic skin over it. it's a different, more challenging, and (some would say, myself included) a better game

My favorite cart racing game of all time, easily beating out Mario Kart 8. I like the wide and pretty out there character roster and the stages/music are god tier. The voice acting sounds like it was done by some unlucky intern though.

In my honest humble opinion, if the game had more tracks/cups, like maybe 4 more cups or something, maybe some more arenas for arena multiplayer, it would be better than every Mario Kart game. That's honestly the only thing holding it back, it has a better singleplayer mode than every MK game ever, one of the best multiplayer game modes ever (BATTLE RACE), a huge roster, great mechanics, great feel/handling/driving, the multiple vehicles all handle well and feel nice plus add a lot of variety to the tracks where as underwater in MK7/8 adds nothing and the hang glider is a gimmick at best, the worst thing you can say about it (besides HURR WHY ISN'T _______ IN THE GAME? DANICA PATRICK?!?!?!) is that after a while the tracks will kinda get dull since there's not many of them in the game. Still though, if you can get past that, it's easily a contender for best kart/arcade racing game ever.

I don't like Sonic in general but this game was definitely better than Mario Kart 8. Honestly it's the best Sonic game out there.
It's a great party game. My favorite is local co-op in career mode. Cooperative and competitive at the same time. I really had a lot of fun with it.

Wonderful game. I loved F-Zero GX and this strangely feels like that game's kart racing equivalent. It has local and online multiplayer on Steam, but also an amazing amount of single player content. I think it's much more skill-based than any of the Mario Kart games.
