Sup /v/. I'm at the last stand in FTL. Tonight we dine in hell.
I'm accepting suggestions for crew member names.
This is my loadout. I have the default weapons, the two-shot Pegasus missile and a dinky little Ion cannon.

This is page 1 of the store. I don't think I want any of this, except for maybe missiles.
My strategy so far has been to hack the pilot, then time my missiles together and hit the shields, then finish the job with the other weapons. This is somewhat effective and costs me 3 missiles per fight, at least.

I think my strategy will be to sell the breach missiles, ion cannon, and titanium casing, and buy the laser to run alongside the other one. I'd have to upgrade weapons and the reactor.
Then hope I save up enough to buy max shield by stage 2 of the flagship.

Vanilla hard mode. If I pull it off, it will be my first victory with Kestrel A.
Pic related is where I am in relation to the flagship. I have to backtrack to get back into the fray, and hopefully I can pick up some scrap before everything turns red.

I'll sell the pegasus missiles and keep the breach. Same total damage, and the breach makes it tougher to repair.

Think you can manage enough scrap to put in another point to your weapons system? Burst Laser 2 and 3 simultaneously will tear through the Fagship's shields like nobody's business. Might be ideal if you run outta missiles.

How'd you get a Titanium System Casing? I thought that was unique to the Stealth A? I don't think it can drop in an event, or be sold in a shop.
The ASB missed, fortunately. I've still got two invaders but I'm ready to jump.

It's an Engi homeworld quest that I barely pulled off. It's the same quest to unlock the stealth A.
I was thinking I'd want to get close to the flagship, but I should probably draw it out to build up scrap. Reaching that repair beacon seems out of the question.
Does this look like a good beacon to jump to? Closer? Further?

Cost me a ton of missiles, but I got by with only 1 damage.
Here's the 2nd fight. I don't like the look of all those missiles.
At least the missiles stopped firing.
I'll take them out in the next volley.
No fleet in the background! Maybe I'll be able to afford shields after this fight.

I love both games, though.
