That leaves the story to be pretty top heavy, and my problem is that its hard to not have a story shit itself if its across 3 games. Lord of the rings worked because it was one story, split into three novels.
Episodic gaming is a disaster, but there should be some way to have it that it is one fucking game, a huge game, that is added onto over time so that way its cohesive.
Dunno if I'd call it GOAT, but I thought the last Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, was a cut above the usual fare. The whole narrated rpg session angle was entertaining to say the least and the campaign conjured up an entertaining mash-up of the whole mediaval fantasy world mixed with BL2's regular FPS shooter fare (Magic Missile and Fireball "grenades" etc.).
