Not true at all, console games are largely compressed quite heavily. Most of them only take up 10GB of installation data.
Hell Bloodborne with it's DLC only takes up about 18.6GB. Even TW3 for how large it is only takes up around 17.2GB itself and that includes all the patches, DLC, etc.

Yeah, it's like that on PC, TW3 on PS4 only takes up a total of 17.2GB or so, or maybe it's 17.4 or 17.6, either way it's only 17 something, which includes the DLC and patches. Devs actually try and compress things for consoles because of their limited space and hardware. While on PC that isn't much of an issue, it's also to try to deter pirates from downloading by having large files.

It sucks but I feel like it's not as bad as it could be since you have to replace the HDD instead of just adding an external like Xbone. People like us that know the space is going to be an issue fast should really consider buying a drive when they buy the console.

I buy console games physical. 500 GB is more than enough for whatever PSN-only games I get this gen. My PS3 never filled up its 250 GB harddrive and I have lots of PSN games on there.

Witcher 3 took like 15-20 seconds to do it's thing before I could play it. I highly doubt that's anywhere near 40-50GB going that fast, especially considering the size of the game.

Xbox pissed off everyone with it's online only, no used games, forced Kinect, POWER OF THE CLOUD, TV TV TV, bullshit that was made much worse by the shitty attitudes of they public faces like Mattrick and Major Nelson. It was pretty apparent at E3 that the people in charge of Xbone were in an echo chamber and counting on the fact that everyone in the world wouldn't bat an eye at all the internet requirements, and I still don't really understand how they thought customers would like the no-used-games-but-we-have-"sharing" set up they had.
Then Sony saw how bad they fucked up and jumped in with the lower price and used games. It seems most people have not forgotten that Sony had rumors of most of the same practices in place swirling around, like the PS4 Camera being bundled and the no used stuff. They backpedaled before anything was official and ensured they would win this generation right then.
If you were an early adopter there was no choice unless your retard friends were dead set on Xbox for some reason and you wanted to stay on the same platform. Even that was somewhat rare because of how shitty the last few years of the 360's line up were, along with most old Halo fans not liking Halo 4 and the 343 transition.
Spencer has really turned things around, but it took holding off on either console for 2 years to change my mind about getting a PS4 or and Xbone.
