>the trailer was better than the game
>trailers contained 90% of all cutscenes in the game

>Spin-off game had a better story

>Trailer contains every cool part of every cutscene in the game
>That voice acting
>Bitching music
>Giant robots
...I...I recorded the trailer and listen to it while driving. I have spent more time listening to the trailer than I have playing the game.

It's definitely not a better story, and all of the new non-villain characters were cringe-worthy....
butit is definitely more fun
>>321133038
>Trailer had a different narrative that was already done in the last game which was on the PSP

>the new non-villain characters were cringe-worthy
MGS relies on stereotypes which isn't a bad thing
>the trailer has incredibly memorable lines you can recite off the top of your head

Peace Walker never really went too dark with what it was doing. It really makes you sad they scrapped MSF for the Diamond Dogs though.

>Lines had more weight in the trailer than in the actual context

Theres a lot of realization that PW was when Big Boss turned evil. He was supporting rebels who sold drugs and used child soldiers but propagated as some kind of hero. Then theres the ending where Big Boss does that speech. So he was evil before those sick ass trailers said he was. So those trailers were pointless because the story happened the last game.
Though I doubt it was intended by Kojima. I think he did really mean for PW to be a light story and the trailers were just a way to ensure sales.

Oh, I take back my original statement, MGR has a better story than PW. I tend to block out the memory of PW on account of it being a complete turd.

PW was fantastic though

If you have low enough standards, anything can be fantastic!

I want you to know I put the audio from the trailer on my iPod and listened to it for many hours while painting the interior of my grandfather's house.

I think then it was eroding the barriers - he was doing what he felt he needed to do to try and maintain independence and keep things relatively stable. Once you have to do it, doing it more and more becomes easy.
>trailer has a scene that looks like a pivotal moment, but doesn't actually happen in the game

God the Ezio games had such good trailers
