For all of Bioshock 2's faults, I really liked the variance in the difference endings.
My favorite bad ending is whereDelta is aware of the terrible things he did to save Eleanor, so he has the option to reject being saved, leaving her alone, but free to choose her future without his influence.Much stronger conclusion than the first Bioshock's evil ending.

Yeah, Metro is a book series. Roadside Picnic is what STALKER, the film and game, are based on.
I misread that post, though, 2033 is based on the book of the same name, but Last Light is its own thing. The Metro books continue with Metro 2034 and Metro 2035. 2033 is fantastic and worth a read, a fair bit of differences between the game and book, but it still manages to be one of the more faithful adaptations I've seen.

The Microbrewery in Exoddus is the best Bad Ending in my opinion.
You do achieve your initial goal of shutting down the brewery, but nobody else is willing to help you out when you need it, leading to you getting fucked in the end and your death.
It's more an idea of Karma than the others, which are directly caused by a lack of willingness to help others.
In contrast to the Bad Ending, I think the Auction is pretty damn great.
