Not him, but that port is fucked in so many ways still. I started a second save file to play as Vergil and it broke my original Dante file, not to mention that it gets fps issues on any PC I've afaik, while the PS2 version runs at a perfect 60fps on mine. There's also a bunch of particle/lighting effects missing in the PC version.
There's no real reason to use the PC version instead unless you really want to be able to switch styles(which the game isn't really designed for anyway).

Even though its not that popular I really enjoy FFX-2, the combat system is nice and the game is different enough from FFX to jump into it after finishing.
I also like the dresspheres a lot because job systems are a lot of fun when it comes to customising your party and changing that mid battle is neat.
I actually prefer standard roles to the homogenised jack of all you become in FFX
I fought the Dark Aeons years ago and wanna finish the game fully this time, so the monster arena with the dark aeons, penance and omega weapon.
I wanna try and do it without fucking with stat maxing though, since it always looks too easy and dilutes down to "this fight goes on for 45 minutes, but you just use reels and mix and when they're not charged quickhit have fun".
I recently watched a big longplay that motivated me to download the game to replay, dansg08, after the 2 best friends let's play made me sad after 4 episodes.
I know you meant FFX-2 before but I'd recommend the IZJS version of FFXII as its a lot of fun, the gameplay is solid and there's so much sidequest stuff to do.

But well, I pretty much agree with your view on FFX-2. My only problem is just that it's so fucking unforgiving about how to 100% it, and you don't realize a mistake until it's too late.

Just finished Shadow of the Colossus, used to be slow motion, now it ran pretty well.
It was one of those game that I was ready to buy a PS2 for, but in the end, PC Mustard Race wins again.

The framerate is terrible and it all runs at 40-50fps, if i try to synch up the audio it sounds like a fucking snowstorm so i have to play off-synch. The opening is absolutely unwatchable cause even with all the tinkering in the settings the audio still sounds like hell

Playing Etrian Odyssey at the moment, pretty fun stuff, if you are not autistic about graphics. Also played Valkyrie Profile and Valkyria Chronicles 3 for a while, kinda got bored with them.

Get a cheap gtx 750 Ti like I did and you can run 2-4x AA on just about anything.
I'm using that in conjunction with i5 4690k.

My issue with 64 games is that the controller is counter-intuitive to creatures with 2 hands and won't effectively map to any other controller. I broke down and got a few USB 64 controllers off Amazon, but that's just more cabling to clutter up my ET center.

Are you doing any research in your event viewer? Could be due to a myriad of driver issues. From what I've read, nVidia and Intel are best for emulation. That's what I use.

It's functional. .Hack runs at a pretty solid 60FPS with high graphical enhancement settings. It just occasionally crashes for seemingly no reason.

There is no swap button to switch the dpad/left analog like there is on PS2 controller in the emu. Your option is to remap the directionals to the analog (since the dpad controls for AC games are shit), but then the emulator seems to handle them differently than if you were on a real PS2. I have every AC game burned for my PS2 and a few real copies of games, its one of my favorite franchises. But trying to emulate it is beyond maddening. I tried a few weeks ago but couldn't come up with a decent scheme. You CAN get through the first few levels with the wonky remapped controls (or trying to use a dpad), but eventually you'll need to be faster and less clunky and you'll get frustrated by it.
AC is just one of those games that doesn't want to cooperate. If anyone has a solution pls say tell.

That's because the legal status of the majority of video games made before the PS3/360 era is a total clusterfuck. So many studios have switched hands or flat out don't exist anymore and so many projects were collaborative efforts of varying degrees that there's a huge number of video games that basically don't belong to anyone in particular anymore.
On the rare occasions that DMCA complaints have been launched toward Emuparadise, they complied and removed whatever content was being complained about, but that almost never happens because for the vast majority of the games hosted on the site no one knows who the fuck has the legal standing to claim copyright infringement.

weird, I have the same setup. DS3, SCP and wireless using a cheap generic bluetooth dongle and Retroarch detects it just fine.
Retroarch DID NOT work fine with standard drivers for my Xbox One controller though. I had to go back and install the original drivers major nelson released for XB1 which fucks up original Xbox 360 controller drivers which I also need for some games to read my DS3 as a 360 controller but I don't mind since I use The XB1 pad for nearly everything these days.

Front Mission 3 is pretty good, it's a little more anime and casualized then the rest of the series, and the series in general has a really slow pace in combat. But the mech customization is always fun, even in 3 the plot is pretty damn interesting and the characters are generally at least alright, and it's fucking long as hell game, so you'll get your download's worth out of it.
Suikoden 2 is also a good game, great characters, simple but engaging story, and great art direction on the sprites at the very least. The combat is unfortunately very bare bones, and most of the characters (of which there are a fucking lot) feel pretty samey with very limited customization, also the dungeon design is pretty much nothing.

I have recemtly been playing it on a i5-2500k with the most recent developers builds, and it was getting weird lag spikes. Like I would run in a circle and every 5 seconds it would drop to 20~ fps, regardless if it was on native resolution or 4x with all the other stuff.
So I downloaded the Ishiiruka client (the 4.0.2 base build of dolphin worked as well) and ran openGL and everything was fine. No matter what I changed (i spent like 2 hours) on the most recent dev builds would fix it. Now I can run the game at max settings, any resolution, HD texture packs, and even turbo mode it (I have R2 on ps4 controller disable FPS limiter and I can get around 100-150 FPS)
The CPU far exceeds what XC needs, its something weird going on with the Dolphin emulator builds.

Enable MTVU in speed hacks and play in software is what I do but you need a good CPU for full speed software emulation.
