Fuck attacking with the shoulder button. I'm playing a platformer, not a shooter.

i thought you had to jump at the perfect time to bring the thing all the way down for the longest time. sometimes it worked, sometimes i'd get close just to glitch into a wall, but most times the game just went to 10 minutes and i'd die. didn't realize you could move the fucking thing until i replayed it several years later.
