It doesnt matter in paper mario 1 because all 3 stats have a cap and eventually if will force you to pick another stat if you just kept increasing one. At level 30 you will always have the same stats.

Wait my bad. The max level in paper mario 1 is only 27, not 30. At level 27 you will always have 50 HP, 50 FP, and 30 BP as your base stats and theres no way to have anything else. You can, however, use badges to boost your HP and FP up to a max of 65.
