pretty good. i compete, although not seriously - i main link like. i'm about top 10 in my country though.
i've met a lot of really nice people through it. some of the players are really skilled. theres a lot of autismos though. like compared to working out, playing football or being in a band, gaming competitively will expose you to shit loads more autisms than other hobbies. its about as bad as 40K tbqh

I'd rate the competitive smash community as a solid 9/10
When i first started playing competitively, i got my ass handed several times, and got good by just practicing and playing offline with friends and against the best, learning techniques, knowing about the game, watching videos, assisting to tournaments.. i met my best friends and the friendliest community i ever participated in.. it's been an amazing ride for me and i do not want to let it go.. now i understand melee "gods" up until this day, they continue to have fun with this fucking game.. Competitively and for fun.. And now i'm Top 3 in my country, it feels really good to git gud and overall having fun with a game that requires a lot of knowledge, skill, patience, and so much more.. It's seriously the best thing to that ever happened to me. Excuse my english

There are extremely helpful people when it comes to tech and tons of people involved to organize events constantly throughout the year. They open their homes to people from across the country, sometimes the world, so that they can play/practice/have somewhere to stay for tournaments. The smash community is actually pretty incredible if you can look past the average Nintendo autist manchild (which is actually rare for melee, not for sm4sh).
I'd say they're at least 9/10. Smash players are the only ones that truly love their gameuntil Melee HD comes along.
