Based upon the series’ “Linear Motion Battle System”, the battle system in Tales of Berseria has evolved in the following ways:
The player’s default control is free run
The player can rotate the camera freely
The player can assign multiple artes to any of the four buttons: ○, ×, △ and □, allowing different artes to be linked together in attack combinations.

The lack of Linear Motion and Free Run being the default movement has me wondering how that's going to work. Is it going to feel like Star Ocean lite?
I've never played or even seen any of the "Tales Of" games before.

I played Zestiria on ps3 back in January, so not really bothered.
I would be if it they started to do worldwide releases and there was no jap version, though. Until then I'm happy with playing the jap version months earlier.

I didn't buy Zestiria but I will probably buy Berseria for my PC if it ends up being good. Pretty excited about these news. Always happy to see more JRPG's on my PC. Last generation was hell for us mustards looking for any JRPG worth a shit.
