Xboner here, I don't really mind that our exclusives come to PC. My only request (not that I have an actual voice in it, but humor me here) is that the games are cross-platform. KI is a great example. People realize that KI is a fucking FANTASTIC fighting game, but it's not worth a $350 console. Meanwhile, those playing KI right now are suffering from a declining community due to us being stuck between seasons. (Season 1 going free with Gold in January will help, but the newbies will be casual fucks.) Mustards get another great game, and us Xboners get a stronger community. I don't see the problem so long as the shared games are cross-platform buying/multiplayer.

We're talking about KI at the moment, Anon. Assuming we're using the default hardware here, the Xbone controller has an explicit advantage over a keyboard, and even then, both playerbases have the opportunity to switch to a fightstick or the Elite controller.

Have you ever tried doing motions on a number pad? I'm no expert on it myself, but even a quarter-circle is significantly more difficult than a controller. Granted, the most complex motion in KI is a double QCF or DP, but nevertheless.Obviously that doesn't apply for everyone. I mean, just look at that Zangief WebM earlier in the thread.

I'm pretty much the opposite, honestly. Next time you're playing a fightan with a controller, try doing some QCFs on a d-pad. (Hopefully not a 360 one unless it has the better d-pad.) Put your thumb diagonally, covering the bottom and right parts of the cross, then just rock your thumb from back to front. I know I suck at explaining, but I hope it helps if you ever try again.

Servers aren't expensive to run or maintain at all, especially when you are already an established company with server space to spare like microsoft.

The sentiment being expressed by the console users is that why do they have to pay to play on the same servers as Windows 10 users, who play for free.
My argument is that console users do not understand that Spencer is trying to make amends for GfWL which failed and locked quite a bunch of users from their games after the complete shutdown. As an early Windows 10 adopter, Xbox Live is a nice little app and I can see my old GfWL friends on it too which is a nice turnout.

You'll hear none of that "pc master race" nonsense from me, and I know that consoles can be a great fit for individuals, but I really don't like the direction this gen has taken. Still a n exclusives war, weird decisions all around. I feel sony and microsoft will give us a console on which to play games only on their terms, and they've lost touch with what gamers really want. I understand that they're in the market for profit, but I feel they're alienating their install base. Every generation there are more restrictions and more loopholes, more money involved (and even through sneaky ways like forcing ads on you), and less possibilities. All just to keep up with the latest games, which are often arguably lackluster, at prices they control. For he time being, I'm staying out of it. I'll play on pc, and I'll take what I can get. Looking forward to DD with high fps, and George Kamitani mentioned looking into pc porting solutions.

Anyone here own a Wii U? I play most of my online multiplayer on it and its free. It has actual exclusives. It has a gimmick controller that some games make useful.
I have an Xbox One, but I only have Gears, MCC, and MGSV for it. Don't play too much of any of them now. Lots of stuff I played last gen, namely multiplats, don't appeal to me anymore. I never buy XBL at full price, I use my 360 to get that $1 month gold and then cancel for a month.
I rarely play PC games either, but the advantages are obvious.
It really sucks that the PS4 is so dominate this gen, imo there's hardly any good reason to get it or an Xbone. What I've played of Bloodborne was great, but not worth an entire console.

I somehow own a WiiU but, I wouldn't really recommend it if you're not a huge smash/kart fan. If you constantly have people over at your house those are fine though.The rest of the library is okay, but it won't keep you going for long.
PC users should know what they are getting into when they buy a PC, and console users should know what they are getting into when they buy a console.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both. PC's openness means that any attempt to place a premium on online MP will be immediately BTFO (outside of MMORPGs).

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, and Xenoblade Chronicles X are all great games to own a Wii U for. I understand what you're getting at with the mostly party games that we've all played before thing. But I think that's quite an outdated opinion.
I did not grow up with Nintendo consoles. The Wii U is the first one I've ever bought. The Wii was my family system, but it's much different.
I've really gotten tired of the yearly COD, AC, sports games, etc,. that are system sellers for Microsoft and Sony. I needed something fresh and I got it. Even though I've dabbled with Mario games, handhelds, and the original smash, the new installments really hold my attention.
