One of them I played on PS2 was great, might have been chamber of secrets, I dunno, I was about 10 at this point so any game was fucking good to be honest
Anyway, they slowly got shittier as time went on and they ran out of fresh ideas, it was inevitable if you think about it

I thought it was pretty neat. The DS game was a huge step back from the first Animal Crossing, so when the rip-off decides to go in a totally different direction I was kind of suprised. That game was huge on villager interaction. People would talk shit about each other behind their backs, gossip about you, you could sneak into secret conversations if you were invisible, I liked all the magic you could cast on other people and being able to learn how to hum all the music before knowing the name of the song was really fantastic.
