What are some good gaming headphones and mics? Money isn't an object.
Sennheiser Game One or Game Zero
a pair of good headphones with a desktop mic

>falling for the pseudoaudiophile meme
>buying mid-range pseudoaudiophile headphones
>having to position yourself around a desk mic
>using pseudoaudiophile headphones without any sort of audio interface
don't even get me started on faggots that use mod mic's.
pseudoaudiophile faggots always recommend music headphones which are garbage for gaming.
A decent pair of gaming headphones like steelseries 9H or Sennheiser 360's will do you fine.

This, or a headphone with a detachable cable and then get the vmoda boompro
>>320968489
Just get a good pair of headphones and a clip on mic
I got the hd 598's with a zalman clip on

>v-moda
>disgustingly muddy lows
>zero highs or mids
>sounds like shit for gaming unless you want to listening to humming non-stop.
Kill yourself.
>>320969436
>having to position yourself around a desk mic
This and the fact that so few standing mics have an actual mute button is why I went with a headset. The sennheisers you just flip up the mic and it mutes.
>>320969574
>i have no idea what a vmoda boompro is
>>320969687
>vmoda boompro
It's a mic you dumb faggot, but that doesn't excuse that vmoda are absolutely GARBAGE for gaming unless you enjoy listening to humming constantly
>>320969780
Nobody was talking about their headphones
Figured I'd ask but how's the sound quality on these? Most of the reviews never really go into the audio quality. I know they look gimmicky as fuck, but if they're good, why not
>>320969436
You never tried the Audio-Technica AD700, have you?
>>320970286
>Audio-Technica AD700
>mid range garbage
>probably connected to mother-board
>get laughed at by audiophiles
No I'm not an impressionable faggot
Sony MDR7506 or Audio-Technica ATH-M40X?
>>320969425
I use these for work every day. They're my favorite pair of headphones I've ever used.
>>320969059
I need to invest in a better desktop mic solution. Something where ill be set with audio recording.
It isnt just the mic, is it? I need to get something like a wall mount to stop from desk tremors, and a pop filter, or can this all be done on a desk? Any recommendations?
>>320971474
Just buy into the yeti meme, trust me the mute button is worth it
>>320971790
Would i need a shock mount still?
>>320971995
Maybe if you have jimmyleg or have a habit of slamming your knee on your desk
>>320969059
What's a good desktop mic that isn't super expensive?
>>320972154
blue snowball but you should look up how big it is
>>320968489
the ones in your pic are better and cheaper than most shit "audiophiles" will tell you about.
/v/ thinks that as soon as you attach a microphone to a pair of headphones the sound magically becomes bad.
>>320969436
This guy nailed it
>>320969059
Don't fall for this bullshit meme perpetuated by people from /mu/ and /g/ who don't even play games on that high a level.
Get separate headphones for music and games, it's not the same shit at all. One for each autism. The OP pic of that cheap $30 'gaymur headset' is better for gaming than some $300+ sony's or Sennheisers, especially considering the comfort factor. The mic IS shit though so always get a different mic anyway.
The only flaw is those headphones break unless you reinforce the swiveling parts preemptively
