Played Battlefront today for the first time since launch week and instead of going for objectives, I skirted around the borders and just kept sniping distracted opponents. Pulse rifle makes it so you don't even have to head shot.
It was entertaining for two rounds of that DLC mode and then I finally uninstalled.

I played System Shock 1 and 2 a few weeks ago. Both were incredible. I don't see why people claim SS1 "aged" poorly. I personally had no problem adjusting myself to the odd controls and the visuals are decent considering its age.
Ragequit XCOM EW today, but before that I was having fun trying Classic/Ironmang for the first time (I'm a wimp).
And then in a single turn, my heavy missed with the rocket (90%), my assault missed point blank with the shotgun (95%) and my support in half cover + smoke got 1HKO'd. Two turns later the entire squad was dead. Only the second month but I lost some good soldiers and now I don't feel like playing anymore. I know it's early but I wonder how fucked I am now. Ah well.
Last XCOM game I played was fun too (Classic/scum), because pic related happened part way through the game. I made it (barely) and was filthy rich the rest of the game.
But yeah XCOM is still fun.

Might get Fallout 4 sometime down the road, 3 was fun because it felt like a lower budget game which wasn't so tight on testing (bugs are fun, when they don't break the game). Won't pay more than $10 though
Also a game that got a lot of play last gen for me was Two Worlds 2. Fucking around with the cheats, and the spell combos was pretty fun. It was nice to have spells to traverse the environment with (you can superjump and walk on water). Easy as piss though, needs some difficulty modding or something

I'm thinking it'll be pretty fun. People who play these games like theme parks rather than sandboxes are the problem. The set pieces are lame compared to finding creative ways to kill everyone, and going crazy with mods

Oh I was pretty choked when my heavy missed. I was engaging 4 floaters (a patrol of two had wandered into a firefight with two others) and his rocket was going to clean out 3 of them. But, of course, it missed and missed fucking badly. To try and salvage things I R&G'd up to some hard cover literally right beside the front floater, but the assault missed and that's when I knew the mission was fucked - and I didn't even have the option to tail it back to the Skyranger.
I mean, thinking about it a bit after having calmed down, I guess it's not a total loss. It's the start of the second month and while this does put two countries in the red, I'll be able to launch 3 sats and so I won't loose a country (barring other major fuckups later on in the month). I'm more pissed about losing my only Corporal (again, it's early) and a verrry promising rookie (I like playing with Not Created Equally, Hidden Potential, and Training Roulette - she had 60 will and 80 aim... as a fucking rookie!) but I also know that later in the game you tend to be spoiled for squad choices and I'll probably get over my early losses.
I guess I'm just not good at accepting defeat, especially when it feels like the RNG fucking you in the ass for fun and not "oh that was a baaaad idea."
