Not that anon but while phone emulators tend to be good for menu based games SMRPG is a pretty bad example for touch controls.
Between the timed hits, the isometric world and all the platforming segments its way more frustrating to play than something like FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Fire Emblem or the Dragon Quest games.
And using a controller with mobile just works against the convenience of having it on your phone in the first place.

Nice! I'm finishing up Paper Jam and Super Mario RPG is the only Mario rpg aside from Sticker Star I haven't played yet, guess it's time to make up for it. How is it compared to both Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi in terms of gameplay/plot/difficulty/lenght?

Its pretty fun. It's like a proto-Paper Mario or Mario & Luigi RPG except with more standard RPG mechanics and has the timed hits mechanics.
The way the story, characters and dialogue is handled is similar as well.

I've never felt the minor attack increase is worth the significant defense drop using the work pants compared to later armors. Not like it REALLY matters with how piss easy the game is.
