Nah they get to level 3 pretty quick. Sometimes it's problematic because occasionally you have no heroes to send out to dungeons of lower levels.

This, it is truly artifical difficulty in every sense of the meaning. I don't mind the heart attacks at all. The corpses though are straight dickery.
Why is abomination so overpowered, i am doing 30 damage hits on the easy dungeons, is this normal?

I started a new game yesterday. I didnt have enough people for my second run.
I had already put my very stressed run1 guys, and only then realized the rest cant quest together, since holy types dont go with the new abomination class.
Then I felt bad about it, and quit. I'll play it when it finally comes out. I like the game.

It makes the back ranks more important, and nerfs the strategy of just instakilling the front guys so the back guys cant use their strong abilities when they shift forward.
I dont mind it at all, and I feel people who hate it only do so because of the shitstorm on release, as a habit.

The back guys are only hittable with range, effectively doubling the health of the front guys just lengthens the fight because you can't do any major melee damage to the remaining enemies

This is my problem with the game. Whenever you complain about a new feature, you're a scrub, so you can never have any actual discussion on features, like is supposedly the point with early access. This, of course, causes thing after thing to just get tossed into the game.

Best indie game this year
Kinda sad that everyone played it on early access in the winter and forgot about it.
I will surely replay it once the final version comes. And I hope this (or very similar) mechanic will be in more games - far more interesting than standard turnbased combat in jrpgs
