I still think the anime was good for what it was. I know people get up in arms about them cutting Wyald and the other supernatural elements, but the series was always just going to be the Golden Age arc, so cutting out the foreshadowing that was never going to pay off in favor of adding more scenes between the Hawks was a good decision in my book.
