What are you talking about? Other than spin-off shit like Crossbow Training and the Tingle games, remakes/rereleases, or weird obscure shit like the CD-i games and the Game and Watch games, there were only 15 mainline Zelda titles before Skyward Sword's release -- and that's including Four Swords.
LoZ, AoL, ALTTP, LA, OoT, MM, OoS, OoA, FS (they counted it), WW, FSA, MC, TP, PH, ST and Skyward Sword makes 16 -- hence LD-Link-16. What other games would you count?
I loved Ocarina of time and I'd love to play MM as I didn't give it a proper chance when I was younger
That being said is it worth me buying the new 3DS XL just to play the new 3D version? I will probably play a select few other games like link between worlds etc but I'm not really a fan of weeb games

I'm excited about Zelda U. I actually was getting bored with Zelda. But replaying OoT and MM after playing ALBW made me fall in love again. And from what Nintendo has been saying about them using ALBW has more of a base with it's freedom I can't wait. TP not so much. I don't hate it like with SS but I just never really could get into it like the other Zelda games.

Oracle of Ages, Four Swords, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword, A Link Between Worlds, and Triforce Heroes (never played this but nobody talks about it), are all horrible or mediocre (ALBW, it deserved GOTY but only bc the competition was awful).
I wouldn't hesitate to throw MM3D into that pile too were it not for for the fact I'm going to play it soon.
A real fan knows when to admit that something is bad. I would let you take OoA and say that SS had a decent story if you come at me kicking and screaming bc that game isn't entirely rotten to its core, but the others can sink to hell for all I care.

It doesn't have the second analog stick. Has worse graphics and will most likely have worse performance. Seeing how performance actually does have influence on the gameplay here (you see a gorillion enemies on the map, but nope, it's only 20 when you arrive because can't handle all the rendering), I would say it's watered down. I wish they released the DLC on the WiiU version as well. Makes a million times more sense for them to do it.
Nothing against the 3DS port, but don't kill support for the original version for no freaking reason.

Nintendo is very VERY efficient with their engines. They never actually give them names or anything like that to my knowledge and modify the fuck out of them.
OoT was running on a heavily modified version of the Mario 64 engine, as was Star Fox 64.
TP ran on a heavily modified version of the WW engine.
Other than that, I'm not really sure. All I know is Nintendo doesn't have any big open-world engines for HD, as evidenced by all their linear games.

Nintendo should learn a thing or two from this gem. I legitimately thought the bosses and towers were really great apart from recycling tower themes in the second half of the game. I also couldn't stop myself making the comparison between Aeron + Elena and Link + Zelda.Final boss was spectacular in terms of setting. A beautiful garden at the top of the tower. I'm a sucker for final bosses in peaceful, serene locations which is something Skyward sword also did.

I think it's more because they realize Zelda is a big franchise but, compared to ones like Mario and Pokemon, it doesn't get games often because it's more time consuming to make, so they're trying to fill the gap with ports and remasters to keep people from forgetting about it.
I also think the NX might be part of it, since we know ports are going to be a big part of the NX's system of operation, and they might be preparing for that by porting things between consoles and handhelds.

I loved Pandora's Tower.
It had the Zelda vibe, yet it was unique. I loved the idea of the towers, the world, setting and the idea that Elena had to eat the monster meat to not transform into one of them. The bosses were really interesting and I like the chain attack.
Going through the same tower with the key and unlocking the second paths was interesting.
I wonder if we will ever get Pandora's Tower 2.

I don't want them to fuck this up and not include a loftwing or another flying mount. The world is huge, you can go to the mountain you see, so there is really no reason not to add it. Especially since the game seems to be gorgeous and flying around and just looking at the scenery would be one of the best parts of the game.
Also a floating post end-game dungeon that can only be accessed after beating the game and that has a boss rush mode in it. Every time you leave it, it resets and you have to start fighting you way from the beginning.

Well, I'm worried about loading times. Flying high above the surface quickly really forces new areas to load quickly. Other Anons have noticed the amounts of cliffs and scaling it seems to require to get around HyrUle, and that's very likely to be because of loading times. Slow people down horizontally = more time to load.
Now obviously the Xenoblade X team does fucking black magic and merges/simplifies polygons and textures extremely well on the Wii U, allowing you to fly around in your mech, and now the XenobladeX team is contributing to Zelda U's development, but it may be too late in development to make it work as well.
I hope you're right that we can fly around, it'd be fucking retarded cool, but I don't have the same technical confidence in Aonuma's team.

The higher you fly, the less detailed the terrain needs to be which can shorten the loading times.
They could force the loftwing to always fly higher than a certain point so that they always know how fast it needs to load up stuff. Since you have the sailing cloth from SS, you can drop down any time.

Oracle of Ages was one of the best Zelda games, Spirit Tracks wasn't near top-tier but it was still damn good, FS was pretty terrible but I have a feeling you were actually talking about FSA which was completely fantastic and screw you if you were, LBW was actually decent, just screwed over from the lack of a difficulty curve (fuck the item shop and non-linearity), and TFH was also good.

I've never heard of "typical Shounen blush," I don't think I've ever seen it either. There is mild shading on him already, and the spots on the knees stand out because they don't make any sense unless he'd been on his knees for quite a while.
