I currently own an older'ish PC and a WiiU. (tired of carbon copy games on ps/xb consoles)
It's Xmas and i'm buying a 2nd WiiU for my wife. We both love Splatoon. It's going to be sweet.
Other than Squirtoon, what other games do we have options for decent online multiplayer?
I understand XCX has some online function but I don't fully understand it.

MK8 was a thought for the 60fps on fullscreen. Is online us vs 10 other players the only function? Basically, split screen we can play against 10 AI currently
Lastly, I know star fox' main page says some features and online play requires an Internet function. Has there been any official news on a multiplayer for this?
