I actually thought the whole Pandora's Box explanation was pretty interesting. GoWIII was actually really fucking great. Easily the best looking game last gen and a pretty decent story overall.
Only problem I had was the lack of unlockables and no new game plus. It's the main reason GoWII was better for me.
Hope the PS4 one is more successful than Ascension.

I mean honestly I wouldn't count Fontaine as a villain either, just an incredibly corrupt businessman who invested way too much into Rapture to ever think about leaving it, even after everything went to all hell.
I wish more people had read the book to get a better idea of where the characters in 1 and 2 were coming from and the lives they had before plasmids.
