Snake Eyez only got big in USFIV because he was playing Super Turbo until 2010. There are still plenty of active scenes for older titles, and the only newer stuff that stays popular with Americans is American-made stuff like KI and MK, both of which have seen the most competitive versions of their series in the last few years.
