I never knew of this since I been keeping off ROR with /v/ for months now outside of sitting in threads, but I wasn't on a rope
Also why is picking infusion so frowned upon? Even though I've been playing with /v/ for two years now, never understood why that isn't allowed outside of cuz it makes the game easier, yet stuff like clovers ceremonial dagger or even fucking choosing command makes glass easier at that point.
We're not fucking smash bros where we need to limit everything till it's at a competitive point, just getting past two levels with being lucky and getting no overloading magma worms is a feat in itself, we can obey the infusion rule until someone maybe eventually picks it then fuck it, why not follow suite?
By the time we do the first cycle two people is most likely at a point where they're unkillable anyways even without infusion.

its amazing that youve been playing for literal years and still dont get it. picking infusion is basically beating the game ahead of time. it completely removes any challenge from the game, and that makes it unfun for the majority of players here. you, being in the minority, can either obey the rules we usually play by or you can do the opposite, but dont complain when everybody else calls you out for being a little bitch.

but again if infusion is so frowned upon, then ceremonial daggers clovers and other items do the same thing as infusion except instead of more health to take an extra hit, it's items that give more item chances more global hits (disposable missiles daggers) or even getting stacked frost relics help too

this is the second most problematic item. i agree to a point, i never pick it myself, but it aint as bad as infusion, for several reasons. dagger helps everyone, infusion helps YOU ONLY. infusion makes you a tank while a dagger doesnt, and his usefulness is diminished on later levels or when looping.

more items for all the players involved, so that no one gets left behind with 0 items. there is nothing bad about it.
if you want to be able to take more hits and not still not break the game or make it boring for everyone, theres other items you can use.

It's not picking Infusion what is frowned upon exactly.
Is picking Infusion on Glass as an early green when the team is in need of clovers.
Clovers is a fundamental item for multi as it improves the drop ratio so everyone can get their greens in the end and not just the guys that got two hoopo feathers at the beginning of the game.
While picking any other green is egoistic as hell when the team is still on low cc, Infusion on Glass is another level: it gives you more hp for every enemy killed, so you basically have (considerably) better chances to carry the game than the rest of players for doing nothing.
Picking Infusion after we have 8cc is well, fine by me.
But as the first item? C'mon, that's straight up selfish, why are you even playing multi.
Of course, since all guys who pick Infusion tend to pick it really early, normally as a first green, the item got a bad name and now it gets frowned upon even if we have 20 clovers or the guy is just new and still getting used to funballs and shit.

but still helping team or not, dagger is probably a bigger offender than infusion, a magma worm that drops on an infusion guy with 1k will still die regardless, dagger for destroying levels in seconds to the point nobody has to do anything except occasionally kill an enemy to reset the hits from CD
Clover stacking does help a bit and not as big of an offender, but not always since if one person dies they're behind no matter what anyways compared to the others that were left alive to salvage the increased items.
Or hopoo feathers to avoid getting hit at all
