One thing for sure, hitboxes are really small on everything including the monster's attacks and the weapons ranges which means it's way easier to avoid the monsters' charges and it's also way harder to hit precisely.

Keep in mind Capcom was originally going to put Monster Hunter Tri on the PS3. That's right, we all could've had a true HD Monster Hunter years ago, but Capcom downgraded to the Wii instead.
At this point I long accepted we'll never get a mainline Monster Hunter with HD graphics; most because that'd require the entire team build everything from scratch and that's not fucking happening, also they're making too much money off of selling the games off handhelds to honestly give a shit about releasing it on console.
