Why is the Sailor Moon anime so good?
For how shitty the animation is, there's just something absolutely charming about the whole daily life in 90's Tokyo thing, and having the protagonist be absolutely incompetent in every way. The manga's romance between Usagi & Mamoru is 10/10-tier too.

I have no idea, nor what it manages to be so spot on in so many ways that the bulk of other anime just fails to match. I have no idea how they made the characters and world just feel so, alive. I find it difficult now to watch other stuff without wishing it was more like Sailor Moon. It's so very flawed, but nothing else comes close to it.
