The most time I spent on a 2015-released game this year would be MH4U I guess, even if it is actually older than that.

The first one feels really dated 2nd one is good, but i really don't think you need to play them to enjoy Witcher 3. Just go for it dude, you can find it for around 30 bucks everywhere the last few weeks.
