Personally, I found Verus with evasion/melee up shields and tons of evasion/melee attack/melee accuracy equipment on to be basically to be way better than Amdusias, even in level 50. I barely ever got touched, and the gravity sword it comes with is great. Slap on a javelin on the back, something that staggers on the left shoulder, and you can stunlock the shit out of enemies while getting fuel back, building GP for overdrive, and recharging cooldown.

If you spec up for superweapons, they can totally be worth it.

So I finally beat the game, took me a ton of time as I was clearing out every Normal Mission between each chapter
Did anyone else feel like that because of the events in the core that they lost their trust inElma?An not because she hid the fact that she was an alien, that had been pretty heavily foreshadowed ever since Vandham singled out her Ares,
but because she accessed her real body not through the console from within the Lifehold, but rather through a console in the hand of her mim, she could have done that at any point.
Additionally, she argues with Doug about how human should have no qualms about giving up the original bodies and making new ones, but she herself does not do the same.
Actions speak louder then words in this case.
I think if there is a squeal that original human bodies are going to be important, as there must be 1 on each of the other ships to have someone to fill Elma's role, and there's a mission in this game to recover a communication log between ships.
And for those of you who played XenogearsI think you know how having ancestry from an actual human is a big deal in that game, seeing as how it prevents you from turning into wels, which are grotesque weaponized bio-masses not entirely unlike what we saw at the end of Xenoblade X
