Crystal is EZ mode for newcomers, you can shield like mad and block most projectiles. This is good for learning enemy attack/bullet patterns. Also extra max HP.
Issue with Crystal is she's all Def and no offense, the best mix of both IMO is Eyes who is great at both, and a good char to come from Crystal. I like Eyes and Yv most of all.

Of course, you have a chance of spawning a large weapons chest with 3X weapons. Weapons are based on how many "levels" you have currently cleared (Robot more tho) So Opening a Big wep chest later = better weapon table.

One tip for going well 7+
Make sure you have one rapid weapon, and another high damage weapon. My favourite loadout is a lightning gun with a heavy crossbow.
Also, better Accuracy is a bad mutation.

They fixed it to be better but the game used to be extremely difficult due to OP enemies and ridiculous spawns.
Steroids and Rebel are my favorite mutants dual wielding and armies are too fun.

He is a cool boss to fight if you get a good spawn and have some space to move around. But sometimes you get spawned in a tiny nook right near a huge area filled with enemies and unless you have hammerhead you are just dead. At least that's how it works for shitters like me.

They're similar in the way of when you die you start over. One is a 2d action game with platforming elements the other is a kind of 2d isometric shooting game. I like this more than RoE personally.

7-1 is all about staying focused and calm. Try to clear your spawn area as quickly as you can and really watch for bullets more than anything.
Beat jetpack guy once, and was subsequently intstagibbed by some plant thing on the next level. I haven't beaten him a second time, but I can get to him consistently.
Plant is probably my favorite because dat cc.

tip for jetpack guy;
1) when he calls for backup, he stays still and wont fight back for 2-3 seconds, attack him whenever he makes a call
2) you can pre-emptively shoot at where he's about to land to get some free damage, just watch for his landing shadow
3) he has a small health pool, in some cases you can instagib him as soon as he spawns

Sounds like you need to get better at area clearing, always try to clear out the spawn area as quickly as you can before it spawns.
Shooting the shadow doesn't damage Lil Hunter, but you can get an easy shot or two while he settles in for landing. You can theoretically stack some grenades on his landing spot and he'd die instantly but I've never tried that myself.

Sometimes it's more difficult than others, but always possible, especially with Hammerhead mutation. Generally a good melee with longer melee range doubles as a really strong defense.
