Actually, this is more like an action-rpg game rather than a full on action-game.
The level design is rather large and open as opposed to linear, and small level design most action game have to fill in the exploration aspect of an RPG.
Equipment, item, reliance on stat for almost every aspect etc further reinforce this title as an Action-RPG title.
Still, 30fps is not acceptable for this day and age, but considering the design elements and the restrictive hardware it is something they have to settle in.
Looks okay, not sure how i feel about the dragon doing all the work though.
Even if this does end up a good game, I wont be sold on an Xbone on this alone.

The only bad thing about this game is the advertising for Beats. Well, maybe that the whole pseudo-fantasy look with the dragon and knight enemies. It feels kinda "been there, done that" to me
I really like how the MC and the dragon can team up to play Monster Hunter. That's the coolest part imo

It didn't for me. I don't like any game that has stamina connected to rolls/dodges/blocks/attacks. It unnecessarily slows down the pace of the combat. I enjoyed the Souls games for the atmosphere and the level design, but I got tired of the combat system real quick. It often felt like a damn turn-based RPG system when you fought some of the bosses instead of a dynamic dance between foes.

I've sat through open world RPGs, grinded through Monster Hunter, played both traditional action RPGs and games like Bayo / Okami. This game seems like it takes the worst parts of all of those, and then sticks it in a fucking licensed movie game package.

To each their own. I'm glad that Monster Hunter has things like Mega Dash Juice to make the stamina system non-existent. I always grind the materials to make the MDJ so that I don't have to suffer from the limited mobility that results from a stamina system.
I wish Souls had a similar mechanic. Green Blossoms are okay, but they still don't make rushdown style tactics possible.
Bloodborne's stamina management for rolling is almost non-existent. Makes me wonder why they still bothered to keep stamina bars and the Endurance stat in the game in the first place, seeing as how most people tell you not to bother leveling up that shit and that rolling/quicksteps take barely 6-7 percent of your stamina.
