i really doubt someone will be crazy enough to even try to emulate Xrds style on any future game.
it required enormous understanding and hacking of the UE3 engine to even make it plausible, and only UE3 has the capability to make that style, UE4 and other engines work quite differently.
having said that, MAYBE in a couple of years someone might find a more streamlined/easier solution...
