Can't wait. Been wanting to replay DD for ages.
A little disappointed the Berserk gear isn't in still, but with a bit of luck the items will still be in the files and it will just be a matter of using cheatengine or something. Either way, not having them isn't really a deal breaker.

I sold my 360 ages ago and will enjoy playing it again at higher than single digit framerates.
I'm excited to play it. I loved it when I bought it on 360 but I really couldn't stomach the fucking letterboxing and how god damn muddy it looked all the time. So glad I can play it in 1080p and have it actually not look like an N64 game.
Can someone explain the appeal with this game? Genuine question.
At first I thought it was some kind of some open world Dark Souls with quests but I might be wrong.
I'm hyped as fuck but I don't even know why and I don't want to know to much before I actually get to play it.
As long as it doesn't have problems concerning playability that were there on the consoles I am hype as fuck. Those problems made a potential 10/10 into a game that was instead a 5-7/10 game.

It is really nothing like Dark Souls.
It is an open world RPG, with quests and shit. Combat is sort of a DMC-lite, and between the packs of wolves and bandits, you end up fighting big shit like chimeras, griffons and dragons. You can climb on them and shit too.

I'd compare it more to a JRPG take on the first Dragon Age with less focus on dialogue shit and more focus on actual decent combat variations.

Allright easy peasy, when going in, do not expect anything from the story, its really really basic and is just there to get you exploring and fighting lots and lots of monsters. Other than that, the different classes and their completely different combat mechanics are absolutely amazing. Combat is fluid, its a bit more forgiving than dark souls but its also so much faster. You can climb on enemy monsters and stab them in the eyes or light their wings on fire etc. And you can create a lewd loli pawn to follow you around on all your missions
I'm glad, maybe this time it will get the attention it deserves and hopefully get a sequel.
Then again, it does need to meet Crapcoms crazy expectations and not get pirated by 'master race'.

The PC version isn't coming out in Japan, as far as I know, and Japanese VAs have a lot of rights regarding their recordings.
Its why original audio isn't a standard practice in western releases. It's dumb, but there ain't much that can be done about it.

You'll want to level pretty much every class for augments anyway, so do whatever seems like fun. Even if you don't think you have the ideal stats, you can still make any class work fine.
Been leveling physical but want to try magic? Focus on status ailments and support abilities, they are amazing Been leveling magic but want to try physical? Use magic weapons and/or bring a mage/sorc for magic buffs, pack a rusted weapon as a side arm.
You've got 4 character slots, don't sweat one or two being "sub optimal" when it's really a non issue.

The leveling in this game was horrible, and i don't mean that because it wasn't fun or anything but because i'm a complete min/max faggot so instead of playing whatever i found most fun i obviously had to level the classes in such a way that i got the most perfect stats i could possibly get. (You can change vocations (classes) at any time, but the stats you get when you level up are determined by which class you're currently playing)

It's the quantity of buffs that make it suck. Coupled with most of the other good skills also being stuck with long cast times, and you spend about as much time casting as a mage or sorcerer would.
You've got elemental buffs, shield buffs, weapon buffs. Sigils and Cannons (that you really should be enhancing with 1-2 buffs before using), and then a couple huge AoEs with really long cast times as well. It really does go overboard.
And if you don't use all of that shit you may as well just be a fighter or assassin, because most of the actual attacks MK gets are shared with those classes anyway.

The game becomes trivial pretty quick because of the crazy leveling and always having the best gear at rank 3 because even wolves have a high chance of dropping 20.000 gold so you are never in need of dosh.

Because of the way the game counts your augments from top to bottom or something. It can end up over 80% on say 100% boost and nullifying that last augment that pushed you because of this and leaving you at 50% boost, whereas if you change the order they can fit tighter into 80%.

Yeah I always kept my gear up to date, and aimed for weakpoints whenever I could. Like, switching to bows thankfully made taking down golems faster since a few of their weakpoints were annoying to nail in melee, but things like dragons and the beholders just took forever to take down.

NEVER PRESS THE D-PAD, the d-pad gives commands to your pawns, which are useful, but they also leave a nasty side effect that changes their behavior in general. You do not want this behavior in any way. The only button you should press is "up" on the d-pad, which gives the "GO!" command, which incentivises your pawn to be more aggressive. HOWEVER, NEVER DO IT OUT OF COMBAT, that incentivises another trait called "Pioneer", which isn't fucking useful.
That's about it, really. Look up "Pawn Inclinations" on the wiki to know more, you can't go wrong with Scather, Utilitarian and Challenger, really.

Make sure inclination is not Guardian. Also might be cool to make them more specialized. There are so many cookie cutter pawns that only differ in appearance. Even something simple like if it's a ranger, only give it a bow so it doesn't run around hitting enemies instead of shooting them. Maybe you can try giving them only like one thing that they do. I was trying to make a pawn that only uses the ensnare and thief skills, didn't really work though. Maybe I need to do it myself first so the pawn learns to use them

You can only have 3 in total equipped anyway. Unless you have specific skills that are superior to assassins, you're just blowing hot air here. And anyway, at high levels, you get so much stamina you kinda never run out, especially with curatives.

if you TRULY want to minmax MA, go mage, then sorc from levels 10-100.
