I just don't have the patience or skill for competitive, plus I don't want people yelling at me in 100 languages.
Casual mode is pretty shitty though. It's not as fun as Competitive because the game is designed and balanced around 5v5.
Playing Casual only would be like buying a Mario Kart game and only playing balloon battle or whatever the fuck it's called.

I mostly play casual because competitive is annoying if you don't have a team.
Most of the time you just get stuck with a team of random normie slavs who just scream at you when you are trying to clutch.
Some times you get a good team but it's rarer.
Also competitive has ranks which make me nervous, deranking is terrible.

Why? Just fuck my shit up. I was hoping this was going to be the counter strike that didn't focus on three guns exclusively. Awp, m4, and ak47 are the only guns anyone uses. This blatant as fuck core element of the game makes it so stagnant. The pricing of guns should directly correlate to their effectiveness. All guns should be nerfed and the Aug and sg should become the new ak and m4.

I don't get csgo. In a couple of years it's gone from a regular game to dota numbers on steam. why? It has like four guns, pistol, shotgun, machine gun and rifle, only one gamemode anyone plays, boring maps, awful graphics, awful sounds/VA, playerbase is all third-world dregs, movement is slow as shit, gunplay is rng, you can't move and shoot, no abseiling, terrain destruction or anything cool.
Why are so many people playing it? Is it a sheep thing?

Yep. I've played on both EU and US servers (I'm UK andmg1 just turned gnm) and the people on US servers are considerably more chill.
First words said over mic on casual & comp in the US will be something like 'hey guys' or 'hi'.
EU casual, nobody speaks unless someone does. When that person does, many others immediately get on the mic to tell them to shut up.
EU comp's first words? 'Is anybody russian/polish?' Worst.

I remember when they made that update when you had to be level 4 (iirc) to be able to play competitive and I was forced to play casual. I was so turned off by it by I forced myself for the sake of playing fun competitive.

I also rape in Valve DM (usually at least a 5:1 kdr) and do very well on "real" DM servers and had trouble translating it to the actual game. What I found was that 99% of the time I had more trouble hitting my shots in Comp than DM because I was taking stupid fights or was too busy thinking about other aspects of the game to concentrate on my aim.
Basically, quitting W+M1ing and attempting to give myself easy shots made my game way better.

Ive made pros mad a bunch of times winning against them and saying how EU is much better. But this one time one of the guys from NME i think was on my team and he was pushing like a turd for rws, so i said the same thing about how EU is better and no wonder they always lose.
We got destroyed while he was trying to explain how NA is fine and its just some people that are toxic and not the whole community, i felt like a terrible person afterwards.

whats the context of this? what point are you making? you can play ranked and enjoy yourself without trying to be pro, it's a different gametype.
casual is +maxplayers, hotjoin, no economy, no team clipping, 1 quarter game.
ranked is match-made 5v5 with full economy, team clipping, friendly fire, and full rounds with 2 halves.
they are completely different things.
