What are some good Star Wars game with an emphasis on sighter battles?
Preferably with more than just X-wings and TIEs.
Rogue squadron one and two are probably the best Star Wars games that focus on dog fights.

Y-Wings are from the Clone Wars they were way obsolete by the time TFA comes around. Hopefully we see some sort of successor in 8 though. We'll see more in rouge one though.

This is the only answer. Can't remember if it was a cheat or not, but you could pilot ships like Star Destroyers in XvT. Balance of Power added even more ships to pilot.
Rogue Squadron did not focus only on dog fighting and had weird shit like stealth missions and ground shit.

I meant in regards to its purpose.
The Y-Wing was designed as a fighter-bomber, a multirole craft like the F-15E. It can do just about anything. It has superior sensors to the X-wing as well, which is why they used them as the primary force on the death star because the figure theyd easily get the job done.
The X wing is similar but gives up some of its ATG abilities in exchange for ATA, ie two more laser cannons instead of bombs. Like the F-15C, for instance, It can do ground strikes but thats getting away from its main point.
B-wing is purely an attack ship, its meant to motherfuck local shields on capital ships and be able to swap out wingtip modules for different armaments. Arguable you could assume the B-wing has a bomb dispenser pylon it could attach, but thats a stretch. But to me, no more of a stretch than Y-wings having bombs.

I was more thinking of intended mission role than exact performance. B-wing is a superiority fighter/bomber while the k-wing was designed for close in fire support.
