She's hit and miss with me. I like how she's one of the only characters who speaks up for the common man in a world of arbitrary politics, but her lack of maturity or emotional growth in life-or-death situations started to grate after a while.
I find it funny that she is always singled out when all of the characters in DAI were awful except Blackwall and Cassandra. Sera was shit but with characters like iron bull, no personality cole and Aunt Jemima who brought nothing to the table she really is more of a middle of the pack shitter rather than the absolute worst.

I'll have to concede to this. While I might complain how the majority of the explorable areas and war table missions were just filler, they don't force you to do that much to keep the main story going.
I guess I just miss the variety of side-quests that the first game had. Hell, for all the flak that DA2's obvious dungeon recycling got, I still remember more effort to at least try to make a lot of the side-quests more distinctive than a stream of fetch quests.

I actually disagree. Grinding has nothing to do with being forced into it, although it's usually the catalyst by chance. DAI felt like grinding to me because I was doing repetitive actions I didn't enjoy just so I could advance to the next story bit. They give you options to get Power, but they're all uninspired shit that you'll keep doing over and over again with different backdrops.
