I bought the game during the Steam Sale. It's honestly a pretty fun FPS with some decent mobility and satisfying gunplay. Not anywhere near as quick as the old Unreal Tournaments and Quake but a much better step compared to the earlier ones.

Not by much, but Ghosts was exceptionally terrible and Advanced Warfare was serviceable. The last few games have felt like CoD truly blending into one mess now though. Ghosts feels like it could have been Black Ops 3, Advanced Warfare felt like that too and now the actual Black Ops 3 feels like it could have been Advanced Warfare 2.
One of the worst things about Black Ops 3's campaign though is that its design fights the modern shooter template it's bound to. The game's supposed to support four players, it shouldn't have so much emphasis on downtime and characters. It definitely shouldn't still have the modern trope of having to wait for someone to push open a door after they're done with the exposition. Really disappointing.

i think only the texture options are based on GPU vram and that was added last patch for whatever reason

what happened to call of duty? this is the first cod i played since cod4, and i used to play cod4 promod at a competitive level. i played it for years until it finally died.
this shit is like a completely different game. jetpacks and wall running and fucking ridiculous killstreaks and stuff. it's like they completely threw away any semblance of balance or skill gap the game had and just went for "epic shit" kids would like.
