I liked it but I did not review it.

I've already talked about this game too much on this board and don't feel like explaining why I liked it again.
>>
>>320632940
Because it's a great game
RotTR is technically astounding on the x360
Like holy shit, this is running on 10 year old tech
>>
>>320632940
Most people don't finish the games they buy or complain unless something is shitty/broken in the little bit they play. For all its flaws, Tomb Raider was a very polished and pretty game that makes a good first impression which is all that matters for these kind of reviews.

Because it says "Square Enix".

It's a fun game and since it was an origin story for Lara I wasn't very disappointed that there wasn't a focus on the exploration and puzzle solving since it is more about survival. It was amazing to use the dual pistols at the end of the game for the final fight and it left me satisfied with it and excited for more. I was hoping that the sequel would be much closer to the original games by focusing on the exploration and puzzle elements but it seems like I was very wrong. Why would they make the 2nd an xbox exclusive? Hasn't SE had a long relationship with Sony? I just want to relive the nostalgia of watching my dad play Tomb Raider when I was a kid.
>>
Counterargument: Maybe you dislike good games?
>>
>>320632940
Guess what? When a game is liked by 95% of the 39526 people, it's not a shit game.
There's this thing called opinions. Sometimes, yours is right. Sometimes, it's not.
You've got to learn to accept that.
>>
>>320636770

it's a shit game though
>>
Great snuff/guro game.
>>
I don't have the faintest idea. It was one of the most soulless games I've ever played. Nothing about it was downright bad, but nothing ever elevated itself above average. It felt so run-of-the-mill it was painful, and it's one of the only games I've ever played where I was acutely aware of how the game made me feel absolutely nothing. It was kind of a bizarre experience.

Honestly didn't know Rise hit the 360, I might pick it up if I don't hear about a PC/PS4 release soon

I wouldn't call it shit, but it wasn't particularly good either.

Level design is mediocre and there is no exploration or survival aspects that the marketing campaign seemed to imply. Gameplay is unnimaginative but also functional, with only a few interesting things like explosive arrows or the melee executions.
The pacing of the gameplay is extremely predictable with the only variation being a needlesly long cutscene of Lara just falling off and getting hurt all the time to get back to regular shooting. The "puzzle" sections are so awful and sparse that barely do any good to the game.

Story is probably the worst part, from writing, to character development, to pacing. Everything is wrong.
I'm sure it has been stated plenty of times, but Lara is presented as such a fragile character for the first few minutes to become an unstoppable killing machine right after she kills for the first time.
The overall story is cliche as fuck, and the supernatural plot twist (if you want to call it that) was terribly predictable and I just didn't really care about any of those characters anyway.

Don't really care about Rise.

PS4 Q4
>>
>>320637258

you and the game are shit

you wouldn't know though since shit can't be self conscious
>>
>>320632940
because it's a good game. it just has very little to do with the actual Tomb Raider and most Steam reviewers never played any Tomb Raider game
>>
>>320637737
PC it is then in Q3/4 when it goes on sale
>>
It's just really boring
Sure the production value is good but it's a game where you just go through the motions without having to turn your brain on. Wouldnt be bad if so many other games didnt do the same thing but better
>>
Ryona.
>>
>>320636770
popular is better...

I think music for the better part of the last ten years would like to have a word with you.
>>
>>320637896

But it's not a good game. The story is shit, the gameplay is linear cover shooter, and the Tombs are pointless upgrades. Then there's the multiplayer which they never even bothered to fix.

It's a fucking terrible SJW game. Uncharted was superior in every fucking way.
>>
>>320633667
this guy is pretty much spot on.

>>320638342
>Uncharted was superior in every fucking way.
I agree, but I still enjoyed the fuck out of the Tomb Rider remake. There's so few adventure games on PC nowadays
>>
Because it's not a shit game. It's a 7-7.5/10

Because it's an easy to get into mindless, linear shooter that pretends to be more, and you get progressive points for supporting the de-sexualization of Lara.

I will never forgive them.

>>
>>320638904

Tell me how Tomb Raider had a good story, because it doesn't but every review praises the story.
>>
>>320638250
Music since fucking the 1800s
>>
>>320639296
I'm looking at the steam page right now.

All the reviews say the story was the weakest link.
>>
>>320637546
I dunno, he still sounded like a pretty okay guy in the final QA
>>
>>320639509
>all the reviews
All the 39k reviews say that?
>>
>>320639509

And yet faggots like ProJared have the gall to say THIS GAME IS FUCKING AMAZING THE STORY IS INCREDIBLE 9/10 without ever even saying why, and then so does Gamespot and every other major reviewer.

Then it's a linear fucking corridor shooter with zero enemy variety. Fun. It's a shit game.
>>
>>320632940
I can't wait for Rise on PC. I mean, that fucking ass.

Breast reduction and no sexy outfits.

I enjoyed it. It's like a sexier version of uncharted with more optional side stuff to do, and more substantial rewards for doing it.

Fucking why. It is literally just an inferior clone of other popular games.
