I tried using BSNES before but it ran like shit. Now I have a gayman computer that runs Dolphin games and shit, I guess I should migrate to Higan. But SNES9x has treated me so well for years, freeing me from the turd that was ZSNES and it still runs all my games perfect. But might as well run it that much more perfect.

ePSXE is fucking terrible. I get an error message for no reason every time I try to change the configuration which it lets me do anyways, and it still runs on my computer even after closing out of it for some reason. Have to go into the control panel to close it. It also thinks the right stick on my PS3 controller is a button.

Nesticle95 was responsible for locking a computer in junior high with the most ear piercingly annoying screech coming from the speaker. Stuck strictly to the DOS version, it worked damn well for most games anyway and after my hard drive shat the bed I was able to use it from a floppy.

Not that guy, but I'll also add that Mednafen is extremely picky about everything. BIOS not only need to be in the right place, but have the exact correct checksum (like 99% of BIOS dumps people use are actually wrong), have the exact correct spelling and case in the file-name, and games also must have correct cue sheets. It's a real finnicky bitch, but it's worth it if you care about accuracy above all else.

I think Higan does some bullshit where you have to first import games into its library before it will play them. Also it only takes SFC roms, meaning ones that are headerless.
Honestly, I'd just use retroarch's bsnes core. Also in retroarch be sure to turn on hard gpu sync in the video settings because bsnes' input lag is a bitch without it.
