Film is basically a remake of New Hope.
Finn and Rey are good, likable and fun. Writing was a little iffy, especially for the villains. The villain being an autistic beta uprising guy was pretty funny and will probably go down a storm on here.
The Glam Rock Stormtrooper served absolutely no purpose. I like how no-one knows how to use a lightsaber anymore now that there's no one to teach people how so everyone is a total scrub. Rey will probably get a double-bladed saber in 8.

For example, Darth Bane grew up mining ore that was made to be impenetrable by lightsabers, it was also hard as fuck to mine, but then later, he got Orbalisk armor which also blocked lightsabers.
