Dungeon glyphs make it so you can share specific dungeons and beyond that later dungeons are fucking great for souls farming. Playing with a friend makes it fun and you can experiment and fuck around with all sorts of stuff.
Me and a friend are going through the hintertomb chalices and I easily got 100k with going through each level twice with my bro.
Fun fact: The various non-Plain Doll art you see in this thread literally makes up about 80 percent of the non-Plain Doll fan art in existence.

That's what I did. I didn't bother touching them until tonight since I'm completely done with everything else, I figured I'd do at least some of them before going to NG+. And they're not fun at all. I feel like they thought the Root Chalices would be a good way to add replayability with the randomization, but people don't replay these games for that. People put hundreds, if not thousands of hours into the Souls games without any of this pseudorandom junk dragging it out.
It wouldn't be so bad if at least the preset ones were properly designed, since those are the important ones, but it seems like they just generated random layouts using the same method as the Root Chalices and then went in and put the approperiate items/bosses where they needed to be.

Ornstein was probably exceptionally good with lightning magic, second only to Gwyn, and probably had the highest dragon kill count.
Ciranan was the most elite of assassins, so throw her into the mix of an already mixed unit
Artorias was one of, if not the greatest, swordsman in the land and his claim to fame was BTFO of the Darkwraiths. Likely, he got included into Gwyn's personal knights because of that success as being an ass kicker, as because he dealt with the Darkwraiths exceptionally well, he may have had the arrogance to think he could take on Manus.

Other countries besides Lordran are (mostly) okay in Dark Souls. Basically all of them are set up so your character winds up in some dying/fucked-up country because of reasons while the rest of the world is mostly fine, although there's usually the implication that whatever is happening in the game could spread.

No fucking shit. He probably hasn't even touched the game since finishing his YouTube playthrough of the vanilla content. Hell, he hasn't even touched the goddamn DLCs yet, even though I (as someone who HATED the base game) thought that they were surprisingly fantastic stuff. Nor has he touched the SOTFS remix edition.
He keeps telling people in the comments section or on Twitter that he'll eventually get to the DLCs when he has the time, but it's clear at this point that he's just stalling and hoping that people would stop asking him to do playthroughs of the DLCs.
Since finishing the Dark Souls 2 playthrough, he's done about 4-5 YouTube playthroughs of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but for some reason, he hasn't found the time to do a Dark Souls 2 DLC playthrough. Yeah, right. "Haven't found the time," my ass!
Even funnier is how a couple of months ago on Twitter, he backpedaled on his blatant lie about Dark Souls 2 by saying that it's a flawed game, but that it has better gameplay mechanics than Dark Souls 1. At that point, he was obviously just trying to save face. Now he's being more honest about his bullshit (although he probably still hopes fans have forgotten about his original tweets).
God, I fucking love the Souls game, two of them being:
1) realistic as fuck armor design
2) masked characters

Before Dark Souls 2 came out, I trusted him on just about everything. I watched all of his videos. I even watched his non-Souls videos, like his gameplay of Ys: Origin and Dragon's Crown.
But he betrayed that trust with his blatant lies about Dark Souls 2. Before the game came out, I told myself that I wouldn't care about magazine/online publication reviews and would only trust the opinions of community members like ENB, But I guess I was wrong to do that.
He betrayed that trust. He's never getting it back again. He hasn't even apologized for outright lying to the community, even though it's pretty clear he doesn't like Dark Souls 2. He's no longer a community member. He's just a worker for FROM Software.
