good dialog and just general a really fun game also the ink mechanic was baller as fuck no matter which version you played and the final boss was just great all while never taking itself too seriously. If it weren't for the 20minute intro I'd probably replay it more. Also Rao has the best theme.

The game did so much wrong.
The intro is too long and unskipable unless you play the Wii version.
The game itself is a bit boring until you reach the first dungeon.
True Orochi is literally just Orochi with more health.
The dungeons are too short.
Ninetails is really easy to cheese.
The ending and everything about the Arc of Yamato is disappointing.
The time travel makes no sense.

That very last fight and the cutscene preceding it got me hyped as all fuck. I don't even care that it was easy.

While the dungeons are definitely not up to par, the freedom and imagination in the game is wonderful and its characters are very endearing.
I'd say it's on par with Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, at least.
