Depends on your taste. Dark comedy and strict form RPG is LISA, while light comedy and schup RPG is undertale.
Undertale is probably superior gameplay wise, but LISA holds it's tone far better, has a lot more pure emotional moments than Undertale, and the humor is far more subtle rather than being in your face about the jokes.
To explain the pure emotional moments, instead of having the characters tell you how you should feel bad during an after battle cutscene, or tells you that you should be happy about getting the monsters out of the cavern (every monster says how great life would be if they get out, to the point it gets annoying), lisa makes you feel anger and terror as a person rather than as a gamer. You get angry at the game and the situations the game puts you in, rather than feel proxy emotions FOR your characters, you feel ABOUT your characters.
In other words, it's easier for people who have a hard time empathizing with code to feel the emotional tone of the game.

The LISA trilogy is about the armstrong family and marty being a piece of shit who ruined a bunch of peoples' lives, not about olathe or the apocalypse. It's only sensible to have a game/follow-up about Buddy that touches and concludes hers and every other main characters' story. The LISA series has always been about the characters more than the setting or world, we may never know what happened to Olathe.

Yado's always been a villain in the Painful, the only difference is that he was just foreshadowed. We already figured out before the Joyful came out that he was responsible for joy mutants and he controlled them via the trumpet and that he was using buddy (which we knew was his daughter) to manipulate the men so that they all fought so his joy mutants could rise and take over, lad
The Joyful really dropped the ball with Yado, though. For how much he was hyped up and foreshadowed in the painful to be the big bad mastermind behind everything, you never really learned anything new. I was expecting some big twist or reveal that changed my outlook on olathe and the characters but instead we just got a verification of all the things we theorized and a fight.

Verified all of the things we knew as it already did, but instead of make Yado a pushover in the story and in the finale, actually make him a villain to be feared. Of course he's scrawny and weak but he's a fucking evil scientist who decimated an entire population using his mutants. The final boss should have been more about Yado and less about Rando, Brad and Buzzo. Coming to terms with Rando and Brad should have been a thing after the actual boss fight as a post-boss fight thing and then Buzzo mutating happened.
Give us a tease or a small hook as to the origins of the flash or a small insight into one of the characters with Yado revealing something. I knew Buddy was his daughter but the Yado fight was really fucking underwhelming and minor for somebody as foreshadowed as he was. For somebody who killed his wife and set his daughter on the loose in a world of sex deprived men, you'd think he'd have no problems killing her.
The problem with Yado in the joyful was that Dingaling just confirmed what we already knew and assumed, and then underplayed him to be a wuss when he's a psychopath. The joyful would have been so much better if it taught us more about the world and characters and Yado's motives that we never knew while still leaving holes/subtle hints about what the flash or where the women are without actually explaining it.
There's so many things that should have been elaborated on and hinted at.

It's never really been confirmed that all of the other women died during the flash. For all we know, they were just moved elsewhere while the men were all knocked unconscious during whatever the fuck the flash was. It might also feed in to the possibility of Olathe being a closed environment with everyone in it being cut off from the rest of the world, with hints at the sky being fake and all.
