Yoshi was a really nice surprise. I hadn't really followed it, but picked it up mainly for my son. I wound up really liking it.
Also Dong is not underrated. Most of /v/ really likes it and it always gets recommended in games-to-play threads.

Splatoon is GOTY for the shooters. Why does it have a shitty score? Is it even the highest? Also, the game gets +++ points for being refreshing & unique.
